OFFICIAL RULES
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS SWEEPSTAKES. A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE SUBMITTING AN ENTRY. BY SUBMITTING AN ENTRY TO THIS SWEEPSTAKES, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE OFFICIAL RULES. THESE OFFICIAL RULES INCLUDE A RELEASE OF CLAIMS BY YOU TO THE RELEASED PARTIES (AS DEFINED BELOW) AND A LIMITATION OF YOUR RIGHTS AND REMEDIES. ODDS OF WINNING WILL DEPEND ON THE TOTAL NUMBER OF ELIGIBLE ENTRIES RECEIVED.
SPONSOR: The San Diego FC “Shoot Your Shot Sweepstakes” promotion (“Promotion”) is sponsored by SDFC Team, LLC, doing business as San Diego FC, with its business address at 2100 Kettner Boulevard, Suite 350, San Diego, CA 92101 (“Sponsor”). DIRECTV and MLS Entities are not sponsors or administrators of this Promotion and are in no way responsible or liable for the administration of this Promotion.
ELIGIBILITY: The Promotion is only open to legal residents of Californiawho are 18 years of age or older at the time of entryand who live within a seventy-five (75) mile radius of 2101 Stadium Way, San Diego, CA, 92108, excluding Orange County (“Territory”) at the time of entry and award of the Prize. Employees, officers, and directors, their immediate family members (spouse, parent, child and sibling and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and members of the same household, whether or not related, of the Sponsor, Major League Soccer, L.L.C. (“MLS”), Soccer United Marketing, LLC (“SUM”), Pro Soccer Development, LP (“MLSNP”), and Player Development, LLC (“PDEV”, and together with MLS, SUM, and MLSNP, the “MLS Entities”) and each of their respective parents, affiliated companies, subsidiaries, and any and all other companies associated with the Promotion are not eligible to participate or win a prize. The Promotion is void outside of the Territory and where prohibited.
ENTRY PERIOD: The Promotion has two (2) entry periods (each an “Entry Period”), which are as follows:
· Entry Period 1 begins on July 2, 2025 at 9:00 AM PT and ends on July 14, 2025 at 8:59 AM PT.
· Entryt Period 2 begins on July 14, 2025 at 9:00 AM PT and ends on July 31, 2025 at 9:00 AM PT.
All entries must be received during the applicable Entry Period. ALL NON-WINNING ELIGIBLE ENTRIES FROM ENTRY PERIOD 1 WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE CARRIED OVER AS ENTRIES FOR ENTRY PERIOD 2. Sponsor’s clock shall determine the beginning and end of each Entry Period
HOW TO ENTER: There are two (2) methods of entry:
· San Diego FC and DIRECTV Marketing Lists: By visiting, https://tradablebits.com/tb_app/526676 selecting their favorite San Diego FC goal video, fully completing and submitting the entry form, and joining San Diego FC’s and DIRECTV’s email marketing lists during the Entry Period; or
· Additional Form of Entry: Entrants can also participate in the Promotion without joining San Diego FC’s and DIRECTV’s email marketing lists by visiting https://tradablebits.com/tb_app/526040, selecting their favor San Diego FC goal video, and fully completing and submitting the entry form during the Entry Period.
Upon submission, all entries become the property of Sponsor. An entrant may only enter during one Entry Period, and only one (1) entry per person and per e-mail address will be accepted. Multiple entries received by the same person or e-mail address will be void. Each entrant may only enter the Promotion using one (1) email address and multiple entrants are not permitted to share the same email address.
Promotion entries received from any person in excess of the stated limitation, or which are incomplete, illegible, corrupted, damaged, destroyed, forged, false, lost or misdirected, will be void. Subsequent attempts made by the same individual to submit multiple Promotion entries by using multiple or false contact information or otherwise may be disqualified.
WINNER SELECTION: On the day after each Entry Period, winners will be randomly selected from all eligible entries. All random drawings will be conducted under the supervision of Sponsor, whose decisions are final. Odds of winning a prize depend on the number of eligible entries received in each prize category during each Entry Period. Each potential winner will be notified by email and/or telephone and will be required to verify their identity to Sponsor. If a potential winner: (i) cannot be contacted or verified; (ii) does not respond within forty-eight (48) hours from the time the Sponsor first tries to notify them; (iii) if requested, fails to return the Declaration of Eligibility, Liability and Publicity Release described below; or (iv) refuses the Prize, such potential winner forfeits all rights to receive the Prize, and an alternate potential winner may be selected at Sponsor’s sole discretion.
PRIZE:
Entry Period 1 will have one (1) potential winner of the following prize (“Prize 1”):
· One (1) winner will receive:
o Four (4) match tickets (seat locations to be selected by Sponsor) in the San Diego Zoo & Wildlife Alliance Club section at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego, CA for San Diego FC’s July 19, 2025 home match; and
o The opportunity for the holders of the four (4) match tickets described directly above to meet San Diego FC players either shortly before or after the July 19, 2025 home match. Sponsor will determine which San Diego FC players participate.
Entry Period 2 will have two (2) potential winners of the following prize (“Prize 2”, and together with Prize 1, each a “Prize” and collectively the “Prizes”):
· Two (2) winners will each receive:
o Two (2) match tickets (seat locations to be selected by Sponsor) to a San Diego FC soccer match at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego, CA at a future scheduled 2025 match date selected by Sponsor; and
o Two (2) tickets to attend the Extra-Time post-match party at Snapdragon Stadium following the conclusion of the match described directly above.
Each San Diego FC match described above is subject to cancellation, rescheduling or delay. Each Prize winner is responsible for transportation to and from Snapdragon Stadium to attend each match, as well as any required or desired accommodation. Match tickets are subject to San Diego FC’s Ticket Terms (available at: https://www.sandiegofc.com/tickets-terms).
The approximate retail value of Prize 1 is $2,360.00. The approximate retail value of each Prize 2 is $240.00. The total aggregate approximate retail value of all Prizes is $2,840.00. Each Prize is not transferable and has no cash value. A Prize cannot be substituted by the winner except at the sole discretion of Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a Prize or any part of a Prize for one of equal or greater approximate retail value at its sole discretion. The potential winners will be notified by email and/or telephone and will be required to verify their identity to Sponsor. If the potential winner: (i) cannot be contacted or verified; (ii) does not respond within forty-eight (48) hours from the time the Sponsor first tries to notify them; (iii) if requested, fails to return the Declaration of Eligibility, Liability and Publicity Release provided by Sponsor; or (iv) refuses the Prize, such potential winner forfeits all rights to receive the Prize, and an alternate potential winner may be selected at Sponsor’s sole discretion.
TAXES: Each winner is responsible for all costs and expenses associated with accepting their Prize, as well as all federal, state, and local income and other taxes associated with accepting their Prize. The winner of Prize 1 will be issued a 1099-MISC tax form for the approximate retail value of Prize 1. Prize winners may be required to provide Sponsor with a valid social security number before the Prize will be awarded for tax reporting purposes. An IRS Form 1099 may be issued in the name of the Prize winner for the actual value of the Prize received.
ODDS OF WINNING: The odds of winning will depend on the number of eligible entries submitted during each Entry Period and across all Entry Periods.
WINNER LIST: For the name of the winner and the number of participants, mail a self-addressed and stamped envelope to: Shoot Your Shot Sweepstakes c/o San Diego FC, 2100 Kettner Boulevard, Suite 350, San Diego, CA 92101, by no later than December 31, 2025.
RELEASE OF LIABILITY: By entering the Promotion, each entrant forever releases, holds harmless and discharges the Sponsor, the MLS Entities, DIRECTV, any other party associated with this Promotion, their affiliated entities, and each of their respective officers, directors, members, shareholders, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns (the “Released Parties”) from any and all liability whatsoever in connection with this Promotion and/or the receipt and use of a Prize, including without limitation legal claims, costs, injuries, losses or damages, demands or actions of any kind (including without limitation personal injuries, death, damage to, loss or destruction or property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation, or portrayal in a false light) (collectively, “Claims”). Acceptance of a Prize by a winner constitutes an unconditional waiver and release by such winner of any and all Claims against the Released Parties.
California Civil Code Section 1542 provides: “A general release does not extend to claims that the creditor or releasing party does not know or suspect to exist in his or her favor at the time of executing the release and that, if known by him or her, would have materially affected his or her settlement with the debtor or released party.” By entering the Promotion, the entrant expressly acknowledges and understands the implications of this Section 1542 and expressly waives and relinquishes all rights and benefits they may have under Section 1542.
CONSENT: Acceptance of a Prize constitutes the consent of the winner, without further compensation or approval, for Sponsor and the MLS Entities to use winner’s name, identity, likeness, biographical data, and contact information for editorial, advertising, marketing, publicity, and administrative purposes by the Sponsor and/or others authorized by the Sponsor.
USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION: All information submitted by an entrant is subject to MLS’ Terms of Service and MLS’ Privacy Policy. By submitting contact or other personal information in connection with this Promotion, an entrant permits Sponsor, the MLS Entities, and their respective directors, officers, employees, agents and assigns to use entrant’s personal information for purposes of administering the Promotion. The information participants provide to Sponsor will only be used in accordance with MLS’ Privacy Policy.
Publicity Release: By participating in this Promotion, each winner grants to Sponsor, and its representatives, affiliates, licensees and assigns, the right and permission to record, film, videotape and photograph the winner (“Images”). These Images will be owned by Sponsor. Sponsor and each of its designees shall have the right to use, re-use, reproduce, publish, display, exhibit, distribute, edit, adapt, post, stream, copy and exploit such Images, and all elements embodied therein, including any names, likenesses, address, voice, conversation, biographical and Prize information and any other attributes of winner, individually or with others, in whole or in part, in conjunction with other material, if any, in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, for the purpose of trade, advertising, publicity, promotion, or a Promotion winner list or any other lawful purpose whatsoever, in perpetuity, throughout the world, without additional compensation, consideration, notification or permission, except where prohibited by law.
GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION: This Promotion and any issues concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Official Rules shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to any principles of conflict of laws. All disputes arising out of or connected with this Promotion will be resolved individually, and without resort to class action, exclusively by a state or federal court located in San Diego County, California. To the extent permitted by applicable law, all judgments or awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket damages (excluding attorneys’ fees) associated with participation in this Promotion and shall not include any indirect, punitive, incidental and/or consequential damages.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Sponsor and the Released Parties are not responsible for entries that are lost, late, misdirected, incorrect, garbled, or incompletely received, for any reason, including by reason of hardware, software, browser, or network failure, malfunction, congestion, or incompatibility with Sponsor’s servers or elsewhere. In the event of a dispute, entries will be deemed submitted by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet Access Provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institute) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Sponsor, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process or the operation of the web site or otherwise attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Promotion. Use of bots or other automated process to enter is prohibited and may result in disqualification at the sole discretion of Sponsor. Sponsor further reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify the Promotion if it is not capable of completion as planned, including by reason of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, force majeure, or technical failures of any sort. Sponsor and the Released Parties are not responsible for errors in the administration or fulfillment of this Promotion, including without limitation mechanical, human, printing, distribution, or production errors, and Sponsor may cancel, terminate or modify this Promotion based upon any such error(s) at its sole discretion without liability. If Sponsor cancels the Promotion, Sponsor has the right to award the Prize in one or more random drawings from all eligible entries received prior to the time of cancellation. In no event will Sponsor be responsible for awarding more than the Prize specified in these Official Rules. SPONSOR AND THE RELEASED PARTIES MAKE NO WARRANTIES, REPRESENTATIONS OR GUARANTEES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, REGARDING THIS PROMOTION OR THE MERCHANTABILITY, QUALITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE REGARDING THE PRIZE OR ANY COMPONENT OF THE PRIZE. THE PRIZE WILL BE PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE SPONSOR’S WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS PROMOTION MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND/OR CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK REMEDIES AND DAMAGES (INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ATTORNEYS’ FEES) FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW. The value of the Prize set forth above represent Sponsor’s good faith determination of the approximate retail value thereof; the actual fair market value as ultimately determined by Sponsor IS final and binding and cannot be challenged or appealed. In the event the stated approximate retail value of the Prize is more than the actual fair market value of the Prize, the difference will not be awarded in cash or otherwise. No substitution or compensation will be given for any portion of the Prize that is not used.
