The Breeder’s Cup is an annual world championship series of thoroughbred horse races, with 14 races held in a two-day span. As one of the richest two days in sports, The Breeders’ Cup has $31 million paid out in purses and awards every year. To celebrate the event's 40th anniversary, they put together a “Bundle” Campaign to host 40 days of giveaways.
The campaign saw steady engagement over the 40 days by promoting daily across social media. The Tradable Bits team worked with the Breeder’s Cup for campaign ideation and custom code, allowing the Breeder’s Cup to make their vision come to life. The 40 days of giveaways resulted in 6K new fans, out of 11.5K fans that data was collected on. Out of 61K entries, 38k people chose to opt in, showing how simple campaign formats can still be effective for long-term engagement and re-targeting.
