The Milwaukee Bucks partner with their jersey patch sponsor, Motorola, to launch their jerseys for the season every year. This year, the Bucks aimed to promote their sponsor’s featured product: the Motorola Razr and its classic flip phone capabilities.
The Bucks team decided to use Tradable Bits’ “Memory Game” campaign to craft a fan engagement to seamlessly tie in their sponsors at Motorola. Instead of the regular cards turning over for reveal, the team opted to use the Razr phone flipping open. The images inside included the details from this season’s new jersey. This unique touch created a memorable engagement that tied in their sponsor in an authentic way.
The campaign was an absolute slam dunk that smashed all their KPIs with tens of thousands of impressions, and thousands of entries with about 70% opt-ins for future communication. This is first-party data about loyal fans that can now be reached directly for reactivation and upselling.
