- SWEEPSTAKES DESCRIPTION: The Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield – Pittsburgh Penguins Ultimate Away Trip Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is sponsored by Highmark Inc. ("Sponsor") and operated by Pittsburgh Penguins LP (“Operator”). The Sweepstakes will provide one (1) winner with a trip for two to Dallas, Texas, where the winner will receive two (2) tickets to the Pittsburgh Penguins game against the Dallas Stars on Saturday, April 5, 2025. The winner will receive two (2) lower bowl seats, roundtrip flights for the winner and a guest, a two-night hotel stay, and two (2) Pittsburgh Penguins jerseys. The Sweepstakes begins on January 6, 2025, and ends on Monday, March 24, 2025. The winner will be selected and contacted on or around March 28, 2025.
- Who is ELIGIBLE for the Sweepstakes: The Sweepstakes is open to Pennsylvania residents, eighteen (18) years of age or older who:
● reside within 75 miles of the city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and
● are legal residents of Pennsylvania (the “Entrant”)
The Entrant that is selected as the winner will be required to sign and return via email the Declaration of Eligibility, Publicity Release and Liability Release (“Declaration”) within five (5) calendar days of receipt to be confirmed as the winner. If an Entrant fails to return the Declaration within the allotted time, the Entrant will be disqualified. For purposes of this Sweepstakes, the term “winner” or “prizewinner” shall mean the winning Entrant. Employees and salespersons of Sponsor, Operator, or any of their respective subsidiaries or affiliates, as well as their immediate family members, and/or any of the advertising and promotion agencies for this Sweepstakes or in connection with this Sweepstakes (collectively, the “Released Parties”) are NOT eligible to be a winner of this Sweepstakes. This Sweepstakes is void wherever prohibited and is subject to all federal, state and local laws.
- WHEN TO ENTER the Sweepstakes: As stated previously, no purchase is necessary to enter or win. The Sweepstakes begins at 9:01 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) on January 6, 2025 and ends at 11:59 p.m. ET on March 24, 2025 (“Sweepstakes Period”). All entries must be received by the end of the Sweepstakes Period, and Operator’s clock shall be the official timekeeping device for this Sweepstakes. Entries received before or after the Sweepstakes Period will not be accepted or be eligible to be deemed a winner.
- HOW TO ENTER the Sweepstakes: An Entrant may enter the Sweepstakes using one of the two methods below:
(1) Entrant shall visit: https://tradablebits.com/tb_app/516518 to view the online entry form and complete the online entry form by entering Entrant’s name, address, phone number, email address, and date of birth. Entries may or may not be acknowledged, in Operator’s sole discretion. For this method of entry, entries must be made by submitting the online entry form at the above link and completing all necessary information for purposes of the Sweepstakes.
(2) Entrant may also enter the Sweepstakes by printing his or her name, address, city, state, zip code, e-mail address, age, and day and evening telephone numbers on a postcard and mailing to: “Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield – Pittsburgh Penguins Ultimate Away Trip Sweepstakes”, c/o Bernadette Provost, 1001 5th Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15219". Entry by mail must be postmarked on date no earlier than the start of the Sweepstakes period and no later than the last date of the Sweepstakes period, and received no later than the date of the random drawing.
Both Sponsor and Operator shall have full use of all information submitted by Entrant for purposes of the Sweepstakes, subject to their respective Privacy Policies (see below). Complying with all instructions from Sponsor and Operator and these Official Rules will generate one (1) entry into the Sweepstakes. Any individual who enters after the close of the Sweepstakes Period will not be given an entry into the Sweepstakes. Each individual may enter the Sweepstakes only once regardless of the method of entry and any additional entries will be deemed null and void. In addition, multiple Entrants are not permitted to share an email address. Any attempt by any Entrant to obtain more than the stated number of entries by using multiple/different email accounts, identities, registrations and logins, or any other methods will void that Entrant’s entries and that Entrant may be disqualified from the entire Sweepstakes. In case of question or dispute as to the identity of any online Entrant, such entry will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at time of entry. “Authorized Account Holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned an email address by an internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) responsible for assigning email addresses or the domain associated with the submitted email address. Any other attempted form of entry is prohibited; no automatic, programmed; robotic or similar means of entry are permitted. The potential winner may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the winning entry. A sample entry form is listed below.
- WINNER SELECTION: At the end of the Sweepstakes Period, Operator will randomly select one (1) Entrant to be a potential winner from among all of the eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period. AN ENTRANT IS NOT A WINNER OF ANY PRIZE, EVEN IF THE SWEEPSTAKES SHOULD SO INDICATE, UNLESS AND UNTIL ENTRANT’S ELIGIBILITY AND COMPLIANCE WITH THE OFFICIAL RULES HAVE BEEN VERIFIED AND ENTRANT HAS BEEN NOTIFIED THAT VERIFICATION IS COMPLETE. The potential winner will be notified by either e-mail or phone using the contact information provided during registration. All potential winners shall be subject to the Declaration listed within Rule #2 of these Official Rules within a certain period of time after notification. If a potential winner cannot be reached (regardless of reason), does not respond within the designated time, or there is a return of any Prize/Prize notification as undeliverable, he/she/they may be disqualified and an alternate potential winner may be selected. Upon disqualification, no further compensation will be given. Failure to comply with any term or condition in these Official Rules may result in disqualification at Operator’s sole discretion. In the event that a potential winner is disqualified for any reason, an alternate potential winner may be selected in a random drawing from the remaining eligible entries. Operator, in its sole discretion, may limit the number of attempts to award a Prize to two (2) attempts per Period. In such case, if a Prize winner cannot be confirmed after two (2) attempts, the Prize will remain un-awarded. Odds of winning the prize will depend on the number of Entrants during the Sweepstakes Period.
- PRIZE & APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE: Subject to Rule #5, there will be one (1) prize (“Prize”) awarded to the winner of the Sweepstakes. The Prize will consist of two (2) lower bowl seats to the Pittsburgh Penguins game against the Dallas Stars on April 5, 2025, roundtrip flights for the winner and a guest to Dallas, Texas, a two-night hotel stay (there will be only one hotel room for the winner and guest to share), and two (2) Pittsburgh Penguins jerseys. The total approximate retail value (“ARV”) of the Prize: $2,500.00. The Prize winner will be announced approximately two days following the date of drawing. The Sweepstakes runs from January 6, 2025 to March 24, 2025. All online submissions must be received by 11:59 p.m. E.T., on March 24, 2025, as stated in Rule #3, above. Additionally, Operator will issue each winner a 1099-MISC form in accordance with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) guidelines when an individual is paid at least $600 in prizes and awards.
- GENERAL RULES of the Sweepstakes: Certain restrictions may apply to Prize. Prize may not be redeemed for cash value. Prize is nontransferable and no substitutions are allowed except by Operator who reserves the right to award a prize of equal or greater value if advertised Prize is unavailable. The Released Parties assume no responsibility or liability for any damages, losses or injuries resulting from any entrant’s participation in this Sweepstakes and/or any winner’s receipt, acceptance or use of any prize. Taxes, if any, related to the Prize are solely the responsibility of individual winner. Acceptance of the Prize constitutes, except where prohibited by law: (1) permission to Released Parties to use winner’s names and likeness in any form of media for publicity purposes without further compensation; and (2) an express and absolute release by the winner of the Released Parties from and against any and all liability, demands, claims or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries – including but not limited to paralysis and/or death, damages or losses of any or all kinds whatsoever to persons and/or property which may be sustained in connection with any winner’s participation in this Sweepstakes and such person’s receipt, acceptance, ownership and/or use or misuse of the Prize awarded or while preparing for, participating in, attending and/or traveling to or from any Prize related activity. By participating in this Sweepstakes, each Entrant accepts and agrees to be absolutely bound by these Official Rules. By submitting an entry to this Sweepstakes, submitter acknowledges that submitter may receive information on Sponsor’s and the Pittsburgh Penguins’ promotions, services, and the like.
- ADDITIONAL TERMS of the Sweepstakes: Released Parties are not responsible for technical, hardware, software, telephone or other communications malfunctions, errors or failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, web site, Internet, or ISP availability, unauthorized human intervention, traffic congestion, incomplete or inaccurate capture of entry information (regardless of cause) or failed, incomplete, garbled, jumbled or delayed computer transmissions which may limit one’s ability to enter the Sweepstakes online, including any injury or damage to participant’s or any other person’s computer relating to or resulting from participating in this Sweepstakes or downloading any materials in this Sweepstakes. Operator reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, extend or suspend this Sweepstakes should (in its sole discretion) virus, bugs, non-authorized human intervention, fraud or other causes beyond its control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes. In such case, Operator may select the winner from all eligible entries received prior to and/or after (if appropriate) the action taken by Operator. Operator reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds, in its sole discretion, to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes or web site. - Disputes: Except where prohibited, all Entrants agree that: (1) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with the Sweepstakes or any prize awarded shall be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the courts in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; (2) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Sweepstakes, but in no event attorneys’ fees; and (3) under no circumstances will participants in the Sweepstakes be permitted to obtain awards for, and Entrants hereby waive all rights to claim, indirect, punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
- Privacy: All information submitted as part of the Sweepstakes will be treated in accordance with Sponsor’s privacy policy, available at https://www.highmark.com/privacy and the Pittsburgh Penguins privacy policy, available at https://www.nhl.com/penguins/team/privacy-policy and these Official Rules. If you are selected as the winner, your personal information may be included on a publicly available winner’s list.
- WINNER’S LIST: To obtain the winner’s list, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope by July 1, 2025, to “Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield – Pittsburgh Penguins Ultimate Away Trip Sweepstakes”, c/o Bernadette Provost, 1001 5th Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15219. Please include on the outer envelope “Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield – Pittsburgh Penguins Ultimate Away Trip Sweepstakes”. Winner’s list requests must be received within 90 days of the end of the Sweepstakes Period.
