Terms and Conditions
Good Things Festival is presented by There Is A Free Lunch Pty Ltd (“Us, Our, We, The Presenter”). By entering the band competition, you acknowledge and agree;

You the individual have the authority and all relevant musical clearances to submit on the artist behalf and relevant music to enter the competition.

You agree to indemnify Good Things Festival ‘There Is A Free Lunch Pty Ltd’ against any or all claims due to not having appropriate clearances and Authority.
- By Entering the competition, you agree that your band name and promotional submitted may be used for promotional purposes.

The top 3 bands with the most fan votes will be invited to play a showcase show on each of the following dates. In order to be considered to play Good Things Festival you need to be available for all heats and the final showcase.
Heat 1 Dates:
Wednesday November 1st - Stay Gold, Melbourne
Wednesday November 1st - The Brightside, Brisbane
Sunday November 5th - Burdekin, Sydney 18+
Heat 2 Dates:
Tuesday November 7th - Stay Gold, Melbourne
Wednesday November 8th - The Brightside, Brisbane
Sunday November 12th - Burdekin, Sydney 18+
Heat 3 Dates:
Wednesday November 15th – Stay Gold, Melbourne
Wednesday November 15th - The Brightside, Brisbane
Sunday November 19th - Burdekin, Sydney 18+
Showcase Dates:
Wednesday November 22nd - Stay Gold, Melbourne
Wednesday November 22nd - The Brightside, Brisbane
Sunday November 26th - Burdekin, Sydney 18+
Good Things Festival Dates:
Friday 1st December - Flemington Racecourse, Melbourne
Saturday 2nd December - Centennial Park, Sydney 18+
Sunday 3rd December - Showgrounds, Brisbane

Due to venue licensing, if you are applying to play in NSW you MUST be over the age of 18

Each act will be paid a performance fee to participate in the showcase for a 30 min set with standard backline supplied along with front of house operator. Any additional production, backline requirements will be an artist cost and will require approval from Good Things Festival.

From the showcase 1 winner will be picked in each city to open Good Things Festival Stage 5 and will be paid a performance fee. Standard backline will be provided.

Artists will be responsible for all costs getting to the showcase show including ground, airfare if applicable, accommodation and any other costs applicable to delivering themselves to the show.

Each winner will receive one guest spot per band member.

The Presenter reserves the right to disqualify any entry that violates these rules or tampers with the competition process.

The Presenter reserves the right to modify or cancel the competition at any time for any reason.
